Bill to Speak at CitiesAlive Conference 2017

Terrapin’s Bill Browning will speak at the 15th Annual CitiesAlive Green Roof and Wall Conference in downtown Seattle, Washington, beginning September 18.  The conference moves to the Pacific Northwest this year, with four days of sessions and workshops that celebrate the region by focusing on the importance of green roofs and walls as they contribute to community, place making, and the resilience of the people in Cascadia.  All sessions and workshops will be hosted at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel.

Bill will speak at Monday afternoon’s opening plenary to honor Stephen Kellert and will also lead a Biophilic Design Workshop with Steven Peck, Founder & President, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, and Elizabeth Calabrese, Principal, Calabrese Architects, earlier in the day.  The hands-on workshop will review the patterns of biophilic design and the supporting science, then ask participants to design biophilic green roof and wall projects, ultimately producing a set of design principles for each.
