Catie & Bill Write “Biophilic Design” Chapter in Encyclopedia of Sustainability Science and Technology

Terrapin is proud to announce the publication of Springer’s 2018 “Encyclopedia of Sustainability Science and Technology,” featuring a chapter on biophilic design by our very own Catie Ryan and Bill Browning. The encyclopedia is the first of its kind to dedicate an entire chapter to the explanation of biophilic design and it’s tangible connections to human health and environmental design. It represents a great stride for the establishment of biophilia as a robust scientific theory.

Pulling from Terrapin’s past publications along with keystone scientific literature, the 40-page entry covers biophilic design patterns, human health outcomes, implementation strategies, and future directions for the field.

Check out our publications page for more information on the encyclopedia.
