Leveling Up in Design at The Mind-Body-Space Global Symposium

Mind Body Space is no entry level exhibit of biophilic and regenerative design—it’s an intimate gathering of minds. Niels Hofstee and Michaël Vrijhof, the principals of Office for the New Earth (ONE), along with Nuria Muñoz Arce of Habitarmonia Academy & Ecosystem and others, were the co-organizers of the Mind Body Space Global Symposium in Barcelona last summer.
It was an extraordinary 5-day conversation about neuroscience and environmental psychology applied to the built environment. The agenda featured lectures, panel discussions, small outdoor workshops while creating time for shared meals and deep conversations for the 120 participants. It featured some familiar names like Colin Ellard, Cleo Valentine, Tye Farrow, Ulrika Stigsdotter, Rick Joy and our very own Bill Browning.

From left: Panel discussions, group dinners, and building tours (this of Sant Pau Hospital) were highly enjoyed by participants of the 2025 Mind-Body-Space Global Symposium in Barcelona.
Several incredible projects were presented, many of which will be featured in our upcoming 2nd edition of our book Nature Inside, A Biophilic Design Guide (anticipated this fall, 2026).
Group tours included La Sagrada Família and the Sant Pau Hospital highlighting the Barcelona’s Modernisme architectural movement. A highlight for Bill was getting a group together for an evening tour of Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batlló which ended with a rooftop Flamenco concert.
We are thrilled to join as a Core Partner for this year’s Symposium, which will be held at the famed Felix Meritus in Amsterdam, July 6–10th. Early bird pricing ends February 1st. Register here, you won’t regret it!
